Adventurer featured a front end with quad headlamps, chrome bumpers with bullets, gold anodized grille and rear end, Christmas-tree tails with three individual taillamps surrounded by chrome. Almost completely ignored by the motoring public and press of the day, the Desoto Adventurer was one of the best-performing big cars of the 1950s, with excellent handling for its size and a top speed of 140 mph. 1 of only 81 convertibles built in 1958, and only a handful left known to exist.
